Envirobank operates within Australia’s Container Deposit Scheme (CDS), where consumers return bottles and cans for a 10c refund. While the system is effective in reducing waste, the strict framework makes it difficult to innovate or grow. With brand perception tied only to refunds, Envirobank needed to expand its relevance and connect with communities motivated by sustainability, not just money.
Ne-Lo partnered with Envirobank to reimagine the business from the ground up. Research revealed new audiences in higher-income households and environmentally conscious consumers. We redesigned Drop & Go depots, introduced pickup services, and built a full design system across signage, apps, and communications. A new brand platform, 100% Clean Recycling, positioned Envirobank as a cleaner, smarter alternative to kerbside recycling—supported by Indigenous storytelling and clear iconography.
Today, Envirobank continues to grow year-on-year, expanding nationally and reframing the CDS from a refund scheme into a broader sustainability movement. 100% Clean Recycling is now a platform for innovation, driving impact well beyond the 10c refund.
